About MarsTech
From Hückelhoven, for the region.
Awning and sun-protection technology were our company's first products – which is also where the name MarsTech comes from. Since our founding in 2007 we have kept growing and discovered the demand for patio roofs.
In 2021 we split the company: our partner Qoolux has since focused on awnings and louvred roofs. MarsTech remains your expert for patio roofs, glass rooms and carports.

Frequently asked questions about patio roofs.
How much does a patio roof cost?
Five things mainly determine the price: the size (width × depth), the roofing (polycarbonate costs less than glass, louvred roofs more), the mounting (freestanding needs extra posts and foundations), extras such as side walls, awnings or lighting, and the conditions on site. After the consultation and measuring appointment you receive a non-binding quote listing every item.
Glass or polycarbonate – which suits me?
Glass (8 or 10 mm laminated safety glass) gives maximum transparency and a premium feel. Polycarbonate (16 mm multiwall sheets, opal or clear) offers the best value and diffuses the light pleasantly. Both come in three versions – we show you the differences at the appointment.
Do I need a building permit?
In North Rhine-Westphalia this is governed by the state building code and depends on size and location, among other things. It is best to check early with your municipality – we will go through it with you at the measuring appointment.
Which colours are available?
Standard colours are RAL 7016 anthracite, RAL 9010 white, RAL 9006 silver grey and RAL 8014 sepia brown.
What warranty do I get?
We give a 10-year warranty on our glass and polycarbonate roofs. The structures are certified to DIN EN 1090.
What does DIN EN 1090 mean?
The standard governs the manufacture of load-bearing steel and aluminium components. Certified structures are produced and monitored using tested processes – for you this means a roof whose structural design and workmanship are verifiably checked.
Where do you install?
From Hückelhoven across the Cologne, Düsseldorf, Aachen and Heinsberg region – including the whole Heinsberg district, e.g. Erkelenz, Wegberg or Geilenkirchen. Installation is always done by our own team.
